Staff who read at storytimes go through extensive training for more than six months before they ever lead a storytime. Since we are so fervent about making sure each and every library storytime offered throughout the system is the same consistent, high-quality experience, Richland Library staff always lead our storytimes. The rare exceptions are in relation to specific community partnerships and initiatives, or working with authors that the library has invited for another larger program, such as Caldecott winners Jerry Pinkney and Chris Raschka.
