Most library materials checked out from Richland Library locations can be renewed 5 times. Eligible items will automatically renew two days before the due date, and the new renewal due date will be calculated by taking the original due date and adding a full loan period.

Items can not be renewed if they have been renewed 5 times, if there is a waiting list for the title, if you have fees over $10, or if they are in a special collection like Fresh Picks, which are ineligible for renewals or requests.

You can view a list of your checked out titles along with their due dates and renewals remaining on the Checked Out page of your Richland Library account.

If you have no renewals remaining and still wish to use your borrowed item, bring it in to library and we will check it in and then check it back out again to you.

If you wish to renew eBooks or eAudiobooks in Libby, you can do so 3 days prior to the expiration date of your item in your Libby account. Hoopla e-titles can not be renewed but you may borrow them again once they have expired if you still have borrows remaining for the month in your Hoopla account.
